Berkeley High School Health Center

Since 1991, the Berkeley High School Health Center has offered free and confidential medical, health education, and mental health services to all students at Berkeley High School, students of Independent Studies, and Berkeley Technology Academy. As of January 2009, a new Health Center opened up at the Berkeley Technology Academy to serve B-Tech students.  Both Health Centers provide First Aid services; Physicals and Sports Exams for students without medical insurance; Sexual Health and STI testing and treatment; Immunizations; Assistance with referrals for primary care and insurance; Pregnancy/STI/ HIV Prevention; Substance Abuse Prevention; Crisis Intervention; Individual Short Term Counseling; and much more!

The Berkeley High School Health Center is a safe, nurturing, dynamic, multicultural teen health center. Our teens are encouraged to develop the skills they need to take ownership and responsibility for their own health and wellness as well as that of the larger community.

Our Mission

The Berkeley High School Health Center empowers teens to take responsibility for their physical, emotional, and social health by engaging their strengths, experiences, and knowledge. The Health Center provides access to culturally appropriate care through a combination of direct services, partnerships, and referrals to community resources.
