Oakland High School

With more than 150 years of educational experience focused on diversity and equity, Oakland High combines the benefits of a large high school with smaller learning communities.  All scholars can access robust extracurricular activities like clubs, sports, leadership, and various elective courses, while also benefiting from more personal attention and support. 

By developing the most equitably structured high school in Oakland, we have created systems so that every student is seen, heard, and cared for. In 9th grade, scholars belong to a 9th grade “family” and in 10th-12th grade, scholars participate in one of our 6 Linked Learning Certified career pathways. All Oakland High scholars are prepared for success in college and career after high school through the personalized support, rigorous curriculum, and work-based learning opportunities that our industry-aligned pathways and global class offerings afford.
