Our crisis residential programs help people who are experiencing a mental health crisis.
Our program speeds up recovery for people experiencing psychiatric distress, through practical and therapeutic support. Our crisis residential programs are serene and home-like environments with around-the-clock care, supervision, and wellness & recovery support for individuals in crisis. Individuals come live at a Crisis Residential facility as a residential alternative to psychiatric hospitalization, or for support after being hospitalized. We provide respite, individual and group therapy, family support, crisis management, and a long-term plan for wellness and recovery.
A short-term residential alternative to psychiatric hospitalization, or support following hospitalization, for individuals in active psychiatric distress who need support to cope and heal. These programs are embedded in the community, and speed up recovery while creating a long-term plan for wellness. BACS sites include Woodroe Place in Hayward, Amber House in Oakland, Rosewood Place in Vallejo, and Nierika House in Concord.
Additionally, BACS offers a residential treatment program, Nevin House. Nevin House is a 9-12 month dual-diagnosis program in Richmond for individuals needing support with mental health and substance use treatment. Staff provide individual and group therapy, case management, and long-term planning for wellness and recovery.
